We work hard to make our use of your data transparent and to make your rights and choices easy to understand. We have outlined exactly how your data interacts with our AI models, how we handle your secure tokens, and how you can control your connected integrations.

Our mission is to provide you with an elite, autonomous AI assistant that seamlessly streamlines your digital life. To do that, we securely process your commands and connect to the platforms you use every day.

We wrote this policy to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have regarding it. Some of the concepts below are a little technical, but we've tried our best to explain things in a simple and clear way.

This is the global Privacy Policy for the "Ask Me" application, a product developed and operated by HP Studios PVT (LTD).

When you use the Ask Me app, you voluntarily share certain information so the AI can assist you.

Account information: When you log in to Ask Me using your Google account, we collect basic profile information to verify your identity, such as your name, email address, and profile picture.

Connected Integrations: To allow the AI to perform actions on your behalf, you may give us permission to connect to third-party services (Google Workspace, GitHub, Notion, Slack, and YouTube). When you do this, we securely store the OAuth access tokens required to communicate with those services.

Content and Commands: We collect the text prompts, voice messages, and any files or documents you upload directly into the chat for the AI to analyze, summarize, or act upon.

When you use any modern web application, certain technical information gets created and logged automatically. Here are the types of information we collect:

Information from local and session storage: Instead of traditional cookies, we heavily utilize your browser's local and session storage. We use this to securely cache your active session tokens and system preferences (like your chosen AI voice or Privacy Mode settings) so you don't have to log in every time you refresh the page.

Log data and device info: Our servers record basic information including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, and the date and time you accessed the app.

We only receive information from external platforms when you explicitly authorize the connection.

Third-party platforms: When you connect Ask Me to platforms like Google Drive, Calendar, GitHub, Notion, Slack, or YouTube, those platforms furnish us with the data necessary to execute your commands. For example, if you ask the AI to summarize a codebase, we receive the repository data from GitHub; if you ask for a morning briefing, we receive unread message data from Slack and Gmail.

We use your information strictly to provide and improve your AI assistant experience. Specifically, we use it to:

Execute your commands: We use your connected integration tokens to carry out your autonomous requests—such as drafting and sending emails, reading code repositories, creating Notion tasks, modifying calendar events, or posting YouTube replies.

Power the AI (Generative Processing): Your chat inputs, uploaded files, and relevant fetched data are processed through Google's Gemini AI models to generate intelligent, context-aware responses.

Process Voice Interactions: When you use the microphone or listen to the AI speak, your audio data and text are processed using Google Cloud APIs for Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) conversion.

Personalize the system: We use your data to apply your specific system preferences, such as activating the "Messy Girl" or "Deep Male" voice profiles, or applying your Executive Mode settings.

We offer you strict choices to control your data. You are always in the driver's seat.

Disconnect Integrations: You can instantly sever Ask Me's access to any external platform (YouTube, GitHub, Notion, Slack) at any time. Clicking "Disconnect" in your Connections tab immediately wipes the access token from your local device.

Privacy Mode: You can toggle "Privacy Mode" in your settings menu. When active, your session data and conversation history are discarded and not saved to your chat feed.

Deletion/Erasure: You can clear your application memory, delete specific chat histories, and sign out at any time, which entirely wipes your local session data.

Because Ask Me acts as your personal proxy, data is shared dynamically based on what you ask the AI to do.

With other services, at your direction: When you command Ask Me to perform an action (e.g., "Create a GitHub issue" or "Share this Google Doc"), we transmit the necessary data directly to those respective third-party services to fulfill your request.

With AI and Technical Vendors: To process your requests, your prompts and necessary background data are securely transmitted to Google Cloud (for Gemini AI reasoning and voice processing) and our cloud database provider (Supabase) which acts as the secure vault for your account data and chat history.

With law enforcement: We only disclose information if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal request to protect the safety or rights of the public or HP Studios PVT (LTD).

We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide Ask Me's services to you. Your connected integration tokens are kept in our secure vault so the AI can function continuously. If you choose to delete a chat session or utilize Privacy Mode, the conversation data is permanently discarded.

Ask Me is an advanced productivity tool and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may change this policy from time to time as we add new integrations or features to Ask Me. If we do, we will post any changes on this page. If you continue to use Ask Me after those changes are in effect, the new Policy will apply to you.
